Ingredients (For 4 Servings)
- 4 brioche or sesame seed burger buns
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 1 small onion, sliced (optional)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 medium potatoes (for fries)
- 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties: Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Shape into 4 patties and let them rest.
- Grill the Patties: Heat a grill or pan with olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. In the last minute, add cheese on top to melt.
- Toast the Buns: Lightly toast burger buns on the grill or pan for extra crispiness.
- Assemble the Burgers: Place lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the beef patty, tomato slices, and onions. Cover with the top bun.
- Make the Fries: Cut potatoes into thin strips, soak in water for 10 minutes, drain, and pat dry. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry until golden brown. Drain and sprinkle with salt.
- Serve: Plate the burger with fries and a side of ketchup. Enjoy!
