Grilled Beef Burger with Fries, Cheese & Tomato

Ingredients (For 4 Servings)

  • 4 brioche or sesame seed burger buns
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 small onion, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 medium potatoes (for fries)
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties: Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Shape into 4 patties and let them rest.
  2. Grill the Patties: Heat a grill or pan with olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. In the last minute, add cheese on top to melt.
  3. Toast the Buns: Lightly toast burger buns on the grill or pan for extra crispiness.
  4. Assemble the Burgers: Place lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the beef patty, tomato slices, and onions. Cover with the top bun.
  5. Make the Fries: Cut potatoes into thin strips, soak in water for 10 minutes, drain, and pat dry. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry until golden brown. Drain and sprinkle with salt.
  6. Serve: Plate the burger with fries and a side of ketchup. Enjoy!
